Mark Dean Kelly (born June 28, 1956 in Enid, Oklahoma) is a Christian bass guitarist most remembered for being a member of Petra during the 1980s. Kelly joined Petra in 1981 and recorded seven albums with them before retiring in 1987, being replaced by Ronny Cates.
In 2000, he assisted with his former bandmates and current Petra band members to the band's induction in the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
In 2010, the band had re-formed as Classic Petra, and on November 13, 2010 released Back to the Rock. The band announced the "Back to the Rock World Tour", Starting October 15, 2010[1] and is currently touring.
